First meet of a new year
Stuczynski competed in her first meet of the indoor season today at Cornell University. On the path back from an injury filled outdoor season, Stuczynski cleared 4.61m for her highest opening height of an indoor season to date. Though early, Stuczynski cleared this bar with plenty of room to spare. We are looking for some big things out of Stuczynski this year.

Fritz moves to coach D1
Coach Fritz has just accepted an assistant coaching position with division I, College of William & Mary. Fritz has been coaching with Suhr Sports since 2002, and has added considerably to the program. Fritz will be working with vaulters, sprinters, and hurdlers. Though good to see our coaches moving on to great things, Fritz will be greatly missed.

Injury Gets the Best of Stuczynski at Worlds
Despite the confidence to continue jumping at the worlds after Stuczynski's nagging ankle and achilles injuries questioned if she would compete earlier this week, the injuries were just too much. Stuczynski opened her Worlds performance at 4.50m and clearing on her second attempt. Knowing she had few jumps left, she elected to pass to 4.65m where world record holder, Yelena Isinbaeva, would be entering the competition. However, after he second attempt, Jenn put her poles away and called it a day.
